Passenger GAZelle Collides with Iron Barrier and Overturns in Ararat Province, Several Injured
A serious car accident occurred in Ararat Province yesterday. Around 11:30 PM, a 62-year-old resident of Yerevan, Kamo G., driving a GAZ 2705 vehicle, left the roadway under still unknown circumstances at the 309 km mark of the Meghri-Yerevan highway, in the administrative area of the village of Sevakavan. The vehicle collided with concrete barriers and overturned, according to Shamshyan.com.
As a result of the accident, driver Kamo G., along with passengers—Yerevan residents 26-year-old Asatur P. and 46-year-old Artsvik P., as well as 18-year-old Elina V. from Syunik Province—sustained bodily injuries and were taken to the Ararat Medical Center.
The information about the accident was relayed to the police department of Ararat by Tigran Barselyan, the responsible officer at the Road Police’s 1-77 operational management center, from where a duty group arrived led by senior inspector Sahakyan from the juvenile affairs division.
