30-Year-Old Man Stabs Three Young People in Gyumri
On April 24, at 11:25 PM, the police department of Akhuryan received a report from the "Gyumri" medical center that three young individuals aged 22 and 23 from Gyumri and Akhuryan had sought medical assistance for stab wounds. An operational group from the police immediately headed to the hospital.
The injured individuals provided a report, and police initiated extensive measures to uncover the stabbings. Through joint efforts of the Shirak regional police, the Kumayri and Akhuryan divisions, it was established that the injuries were inflicted by a 30-year-old resident of Gyumri during a dispute on Gorki Street.
Law enforcement agencies undertook operational and investigative measures to locate him. Their efforts yielded results: on April 25, the 30-year-old resident of Gyumri voluntarily presented himself at the police station.
It was revealed that the conflict had erupted over an incident of signaling on one of Gyumri's streets and continued in one of the shops, resulting in a physical altercation accompanied by mutual insults. During the fray, the 30-year-old man grabbed a folding knife that was on the counter and stabbed the youths.
As a result, all participants in the dispute, including the young men and the assailant, sustained bodily injuries. Necessary examinations have been appointed, and an investigation is underway.
