Illegal Firearm Found in Vehicle of Man Detained by Tavush Police

Information was received at the Tavush Police Department indicating that a 30-year-old resident of the city of Tashir was regularly carrying a firearm illegally, both in his hometown and in Vanadzor. After verifying the authenticity of the operational data, a criminal case was initiated.

The police reported that on April 26, the suspect was detained on Nzhdeh Street in the city of Vanadzor while in his "Volkswagen Golf" vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a "WALTER" type handgun with 4 rounds in the magazine.

According to the detained individual, he acquired the handgun and ammunition during his participation in the April war. The firearm has been confiscated, and a forensic examination has been scheduled. The investigation is ongoing.
