We Have 2 Traitors and Capitulators: The Main One is the Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, Says Hrant Bagratyan

Aliyev constantly says: open a corridor through Syunik to Nakhichevan, or I will open it myself. This was stated by former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan on his Facebook page.

He specifically noted: “Our side has not yet responded. They are not saying what kind of corridor or anything. The November 9 document only talks about providing communications (i.e., roads). A corridor is not just a road; it involves the principle of extraterritoriality. And suddenly today I learn from the press that Pashinyan, like Aliyev, has stated in the vicinity of Syunik that they do not want to voluntarily give up the corridor and that it will be taken by force. Oh! Then besides the November 9 agreement, there must be another document or arrangement, which gives Azerbaijan not just communications but a corridor. And this seems to not please the Russians either. As a result, no one is telling Aliyev that his statements about the corridor are nonsense.

Now, the people of Syunik are instinctively right in this regard. And rightly they call Pashinyan a capitulator and a traitor; they are rising up. But dear residents of Syunik, why did you not address the same words to Armen Sarkissian? According to the second part of Article 123 of the Constitution, he is the guarantor of the constitutional order. According to the first part of Article 205 of the same Constitution, changes to the territory of Armenia must be made through a referendum. Until then, the Constitutional Court must provide an opinion on such a referendum according to Article 168, Part 2. Therefore, the issue regarding the corridor primarily lies with the President—Armen Sarkissian.

So why didn't you call him a traitor in Syunik? This is not solely Pashinyan’s problem; it is Armen’s. It is the man who, in February 2012, signed a document calling on Erdogan to come to the South Caucasus and resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict treacherously. Do the people of Syunik not know this? Or why, during yesterday’s protest in front of the prosecutor's office, was his name not mentioned?

We have 2 traitors and capitulators. And the main one is Armen Sarkissian, who occupies the chair of the President of Armenia.

P.S. Today is April 24. We all pray for our victims. The number of our compatriots who went out for the march is immense. That’s good. But let’s shake off the habit of crying each time after our fallen. Tomorrow Syunik may not exist. Artsakh is almost gone. Therefore, let’s gather with the same intensity for one hour in front of the Presidential Palace, kick Armen out, and then go down to the square and remove the other capitulator from power. By doing this, we will honor the memory of the victims of 1915, 1988, and 2020.
