Arthur Vanetsyan: 'I was walking towards the memorial, and there wasn't a single person who didn't approach and ask when we would free the country from this evil government.'
The Homeland Salvation Movement has set several objectives for itself, some of which it has managed to achieve, while others remain unresolved. Arthur Vanetsyan stated this during a speech at the Tsitsernakaberd memorial.
Vanetsyan noted that the movement was unable to ensure that snap elections would take place without Nikol Pashinyan as Prime Minister. “But I believe that the movement has clearly fulfilled its task; there is no doubt among the overwhelming majority of the public that Nikol Pashinyan must leave,” he stated.
“I was just walking towards the memorial, and I didn’t see a single person who didn’t approach and ask when we will free the country from this evil government. There is a prevailing sentiment among the people, this solidarity that these authorities must go,” he emphasized.
“If snap elections are held and Nikol Pashinyan continues in office, the opposition must have a single goal: to remove him from power. In this case, it must be done through elections,” he added. Vanetsyan reiterated that they will participate in the elections, though the format for that is still a matter for discussion.
