We Were Shifted and Lowered, We Have Reached Goris, We Have Given Away Our Lands: Ishkhan Namoyan
"My ancestors are from Van, but due to the atrocities of the Turks, they came to Eastern Armenia," said Ishkhan Namoyan, the deputy commander of the Kyaram Sloyan detachment, in a conversation with reporters today at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.
According to him, during the last war in Artsakh, the Turkish-Azerbaijani forces were fighting against Armenians, but not alone, rather with the help of superpowers. "We would have won. In Jabrail, the whole Yezidi detachment knows, we did not give up a meter of the height, we did not retreat, that will be confirmed by Tiran Khachatryan. We were shifted, lowered from our positions, and have reached Goris, we have given away our lands. On October 17, we were holding the height in Jabrail, and we had no retreat. I do not know what caused us to give it up," he noted.
Ishkhan Namoyan emphasized that their front commander was Tiran Khachatryan. "We entered the front, there was already a retreat, 500 people were retreating, but we moved forward, we held the height for 17 days. The Turks did not advance, people were simply withdrawing, we moved forward," he explained.
