«Millions of People Were Killed Simply for Being Armenian. It Has Been 106 Years, But We Remember» – Garik Martirosyan
Russian-based humorist Garik Martirosyan posted a photo of the forget-me-not flower, a symbol of memorial for the victims of the Armenian Genocide, on his Instagram account, marking the 106th anniversary of the genocide.
“The forget-me-not is a symbol of what we remember and will never forget... April 24, 1915, is the day of remembrance for the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey. Millions of people were killed simply for being Armenian. Those who survived, along with their descendants, have spread across the world and live in Russia, France, the USA, Lebanon, Ukraine, Argentina, and other countries that welcomed Armenians and became their second home. And wherever we live, we will never forget. It has been 106 years, but we remember...” wrote Martirosyan.
