If Biden Utters the Term 'Genocide', It Will Be a Major Moral Victory, Says Artsakh Foreign Minister Davit Babayan

After paying tribute at the Zangakatun memorial, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh, Davit Babayan, gave a brief interview, as reported by Artsakhpress.

Addressing the 106th anniversary of the genocide, Babayan stated that in order for genocide not to happen again, the Armenian people must be sober, patriotic, professional, and filled with faith. “Turkey has not recognized and will not voluntarily recognize the Armenian genocide. If Biden utters the term 'genocide', it will be a significant moral victory and will contain political messages. We need to be realistic. To prevent genocides from recurring, different terms must also be used. It is much more important to be patriotic, honest, and work diligently. Genocide is not only an issue for Armenians. By failing to recognize the genocide, new genocides have occurred against Yazidis, Assyrians, Kurds, Greeks, Slavs, and other nations; it continues even today,” Babayan said.
