Genocide Has No Expiration Date, and Turkey Must Be Held Accountable for Its Denialism: Gagik Tsarukyan
Dear compatriots from Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora, today the worldwide Armenian community commemorates the 106th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, made a Facebook post stating, “The memory of the 1.5 million innocent victims of the greatest crime of the 20th century remains alive in our hearts, and we pray for the peace of their souls. 106 years after the Armenian Genocide, the entire Armenian nation is still waiting for historical justice to be restored, as genocide has no expiration date, and Turkey, which has adopted a denialist policy, must be held accountable.”
“The Armenian Genocide must also be recognized by the entire world, as impunity leads to new crimes against humanity and new atrocities. Through our daily efforts, we must prevent a repetition of the crimes of 1915.”
“On behalf of myself and the Prosperous Armenia party, I express profound gratitude to all countries, organizations, and individuals who have joined the universal efforts for Armenian reparations and recognized the Genocide. It is the duty of every Armenian to keep the memory of our innocent martyrs alive and to strive together for the restoration of historical justice.”
“Our humble homage to the memory of 1.5 million innocent victims. May God protect us all...”
