U.S. Ambassador in Moscow to Depart for Washington for Consultations

The U.S. Ambassador to Moscow, John Sullivan, has announced in an interview with TASS that he will be departing for Washington for consultations. He also mentioned that he plans to return to Moscow in the coming weeks.

"I think it is important for me to talk in Washington with my new colleagues in the Biden administration about the current state of bilateral relations between the U.S. and Russia. I will return to Moscow in the coming weeks, before the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Joe Biden," the ambassador said.

As we reported earlier, according to circulating information in the media, Ambassador Sullivan had declined to go to Washington.
