Car Accident in Yerevan Involving Legendary Footballer’s Vehicle, Injuries Reported

A chain reaction car accident occurred in Yerevan today. Around 3:30 PM, a Lexus IT 250 with license plate 62 PP 622 collided with a Nissan Tiida and a Toyota Ipsum on Mashtots Avenue, in front of the "Nairi" cinema.

Photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports that as a result of the accident, two individuals sustained bodily injuries. The emergency medical team from Yerevan 1-03 arrived at the scene promptly, providing first aid before transporting the victims to the number 1 university hospital.

Following the initial collision, the Toyota moved forward and hit parked vehicles, including a Toyota Corolla and a KIA in the allowed part of the road.

The Yerevan traffic police's 1st battalion, led by platoon commander Vruyr Gabrielyan, arrived at the scene quickly. Information about the accident was provided by Garik Hakobyan, the responsible officer at the operational management center of the Yerevan Traffic Police, to the traffic police's department conducting investigations into road traffic accidents. An operational group led by department head Grigor Avetisyan and senior investigator Hrayr Stepanyan subsequently arrived.

The police are currently identifying the drivers and the injured. According to G. Shamshyan, the parked Toyota on the permissible section of the road belongs to the legendary football player Samvel Gasaboghlian of the Ararat 73 legendary football team.
