New Positions in Yerevan City Hall?

According to the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, on April 20, the Yerevan City Council will hold a regular meeting, with 17 items on the agenda. Among these items, new positions will be added to the staff of the Urban Development and Architecture Department of the Yerevan City Hall, as well as within the internal structure of the Urban Development Department.

The justification for the decision draft states that the city hall needs legal specialists, which has also led to the necessity of increasing the number of positions. The draft proposes to increase the number of positions in the Urban Development and Architecture Department by 12, to transfer individuals currently occupying 5 positions in the Urban Development and Architecture Department to the division handling special regulation programs of urban development activities, and to increase the number of positions in the special regulation programs division from 7 to 14.

Additionally, changes will be made regarding budget allocations. Specifically, it is proposed to increase the subsidies in the income part of the 2021 budget by 1,440.0 thousand drams, which will be allocated in the expenditure part of Yerevan's 2021 budget for providing alternative employment services to citizens who have undergone this program.
