In Syunik, We Are Considering Updating the Fleet of Ambulances: Anahit Avanesyan

In the National Assembly today, MP Surbuhie Grigoryan from the "Enlightened Armenia" faction inquired about when rural ambulances in Syunik would receive new vehicles. Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan informed that additional ambulances were acquired by the government during this year.

“During the war, our ambulances were on the roads 24/7, and we also had damaged ambulances. It is unfortunate, but our enemy targeted the ambulances as well. A decision was made very quickly that our ambulance fleet needed to be replenished. With the financial resources provided by the government, we acquired vehicles, and in addition, we received considerable support from our diaspora. To this day, the ambulances donated are still arriving. Our fleet has significantly strengthened,” she stated.

Moreover, she mentioned that during her visit to Syunik, the issue was raised that some vehicles had been damaged. “We are definitely considering the question of updating their fleet of vehicles. But we need to be very careful because when providing an ambulance, we must also correctly calculate the maintenance issues so that it is not a burden on that healthcare facility but serves its purposes,” she added.
