Zelensky Asks Joe Biden for Help with NATO Membership
On April 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reached out to his American counterpart Joe Biden, requesting assistance regarding Ukraine's NATO membership. This was reported by Izvestia.
“If the United States wants to see us in NATO, then it must say so directly and act on it. Not just support us in words,” Zelensky was quoted by CNN.
Zelensky emphasized that the country needs financial support as well as more weapons to bolster its resistance against Russia. According to him, NATO membership would provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance from the alliance's partners.
