Parents Open Ministry of Defense Entrances: "These People Absolutely Do Not Grasp the Situation," Says Participant of Meeting with Chief of Staff
Parents of missing soldiers have opened the entrances to the Ministry of Defense. The decision was made following a meeting with the Chief of Staff and generals, although the parents were dissatisfied with the outcomes of the meeting.
They did not provide additional details to the media. One relative of a missing soldier who attended the meeting stated to reporters, "The Chief of Staff and the generals absolutely do not grasp the situation. The Chief of Staff says that the matter is not within his jurisdiction and that no solutions can be found for any questions. There are no expectations. They say that they are working, but we don’t understand what they are working on. These people absolutely do not grasp the situation."
The Minister of Defense did not participate in the meeting.
A citizen noted that the situation is unclear, and the issues concerning captives and the missing remain unresolved. It should be recalled that relatives of the missing and captives had blockaded all entrances to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia for two consecutive days. Following the meeting with Artak Davtyan, the relatives of captives and the missing opened the entrances to the Ministry of Defense.
