"Wake Up, Do You Finally Have Honor?" – Commander of "Arabo" Detachment to Those Preaching Friendship with Turks
We voluntarily put our heads on the chopping block, where the individuals who wish to become servants of the Turk are going to behead us. Those who advertise friendship should wake up. This is what Manvel Yeghiazaryan, the commander of the "Arabo" detachment, said in a conversation with Tert.am.
"The good thing about democracy is that every citizen has the right to speak, but the bad thing is that every misguided, foolish person can also express their opinion loudly; the field is given to such individuals. The only thing left is that we should have a society that understands that there is no benefit from Turkey; it does everything to destroy us. It cannot be summarized in a couple of words what terrible consequences could result from friendship with a nation that considers us a vanquished enemy, believing we should be dead. If we manage to build a normal country in the future, we will ask those people which victim of the 1915 Genocide they are the heirs of and why they behave the way they do," the freedom fighter elaborated.
Regarding the statements of Nikol Pashinyan and other officials claiming that opening communications also aligns with Armenian interests, Manvel Yeghiazaryan emphasized, "We must have honor, understand the meaning of our homeland. If we live just for our bellies, then we are no different from animals. A person must be conscious. If you are Armenian, you must understand that addressing the issues of the stomach through degeneration and the path of destruction, to put it mildly, is foolishness," he said.
Yeghiazaryan noted that not only Nikol Pashinyan but all those who will continue to discuss correcting approaches towards the Turks and promoting friendship during the campaign are advised not to drag society into this discourse. "Wake up, it’s shameful, do we finally have honor or not? They have destroyed you, taken your homeland, and degraded your women. If you were honorable people, the first thing you should have done was take up arms and seek revenge against the enemy. If you haven’t avenged the enemy, you do not even have the right to praise them," he said.
According to the commander, it is now shameful that we are preparing for elections; first, we should have woken up, but this doesn’t mean we should reconcile with what has happened. According to him, over the past 30 years, society has become so entangled that people sometimes do not realize what path we are on. "Considering the nature of the Turk, we should not lose resilience and vigilance," he added.
