Car Rolls into Ravine on Road to Jrovank Chapel, Driver Dies on the Spot

Today, April 3, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. Around 13:20, on the Yerevan-Yeraskh-Meghri highway, in the section leading from Yeghegnadzor to the Jrovank chapel, a Nissan XTrail vehicle left the roadway under still unknown circumstances and rolled approximately 500 meters into a ravine.

According to eyewitness reports from the scene provided by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver died on the spot. Emergency responders from the Vayots Dzor Regional Rescue Department managed to locate the body outside the vehicle and, with great difficulty, brought it about 800 meters from the ravine, crossing over a river to approach the ambulance.
