Satellite Imagery from October 23 Clearly Shows Air-to-Air Missiles Mounted on Armenia's Su-30SM Fighter Jets

The military observer Telegram channel reports that satellite imagery from October 23, 2020, clearly shows air-to-air missiles mounted under the wings of Armenia's Air Force Su-30SM fighter aircraft.

According to the Telegram channel, at the same time, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in a recent statement, noted that there were no missiles for these planes during the last war in Artsakh, as they allegedly did not have the chance to purchase them.

It is worth noting that earlier in the National Assembly, Pashinyan referenced his comment regarding the lack of missile procurement and another statement made on July 3, 2020, in which he announced that the Su-30SMs had conducted their initial training flights with "combat strikes", testing air-to-ground missiles for "assault operations". Pashinyan wrote that all targets were hit with high precision.

Many expressed concern about how, in that case, all targets were allegedly hit with “combat strikes” when there were no missiles available. Thus, during the National Assembly session, Pashinyan reiterated that his two statements do not contradict each other, as missiles already present in the arsenal were used during the exercises.
