Which Streets Have 'Red Lines': Follow the Markings and Signs
Earlier this year in January, the National Assembly fully approved a legislative package according to which 'red lines' were eliminated in 10 of Yerevan's 12 administrative districts. Paid parking areas now operate only in the Central and Arabkir administrative districts.
Citizens frequently approach us, asking for clarification on which specific streets still have 'red lines' and whether a list of those streets could be published. Regarding this issue, 'Pasts' contacted Yerevan Mayor's spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan, who mentioned in our conversation that the legislative change is already in effect.
“There are paid parking areas on all those streets in the Central and Arabkir districts where there are red lines. Besides the fact that these streets are marked, there are also signs at both the beginning and end of these sections indicating that there is a paid parking area,” Hakob Karapetyan stated in an interview with 'Pasts', adding that it is essential to follow the markings and mentioned signs.
