Marukyan's Biography Contains Criminal Offenses That Should Interest the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia, Bagratyan

Former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan made a post on his Facebook page regarding Edmon Marukyan. The post is as follows:

“Edmon Marukyan’s issue has not been resolved. About two weeks ago, I was compelled to inform the public that this person, who seeks the Prime Minister’s chair, has presented false information about his education, claiming to have graduated from universities and to possess diplomas. I expressed doubts that he had grossly fabricated details about having obtained higher education (bachelor's degree). Subsequently, he falsified on the Parliament's website several weeks or months of courses taken abroad, presenting them in the context of higher education. Edmon responded to me with a 'clever' video message, stating, 'Look at my diplomas.' To make it more convincing, he said that he had not seen my birth certificate. This does not mean I am not born. In short, complete nonsense.

Now, to the substance. I never said that he does not have a higher education diploma. I suspected that it was forged. In truth, in his biography on the Parliament's website, he wrote that he served in the Armenian Armed Forces from 1999 to 2001 and graduated from the Moscow Institute of Commerce and Law in 2002. This institute has been closed for a long time. We ask Edmon, how could you serve and study at the same time? Your classes were scheduled on weekends, plus there was a one-month vacation during each session. So either you didn’t serve, or you didn’t study. What place do you put yourself in as a person who doesn’t understand? Explain yourself. If you do not explain, then you have committed a criminal offense. There is sufficient reason to suspect that you purchased that diploma. Therefore, you do not have a higher education. If you didn’t complete your bachelor’s degree, then how did you graduate from the Academy of Public Administration of Armenia in 2007? And then, in 2006, you completed the advanced course in human rights in Warsaw, and in 2010, the law school at the University of Minnesota. We understand that you graduated. But when did you enroll and how many days or weeks (perhaps months) did you study? Why are you confusing and misleading people? We will soon present correspondences and communications with all these educational institutions, and with the Armenian Armed Forces.

P.S. Edmon Marukyan's biography contains criminal offenses that should interest the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia, A. Davtyan, the President of the Parliament, A. Mirzoyan, and the Ethics Committee of the Parliament. This cunning individual has received votes by misleading our kind-hearted and patient naïve people from Lori, has come to Yerevan, continuing to deceive the naïve here, even gaining the attention and funds of the current authorities, and is now also applying for new positions. An illiterate from Yenokavan has already erased Artsakh, erasing Armenia as well. Now whose side is he on?”
