The Decision Regarding Onik Gasparyan Has Taken Effect

The Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces is Onik Gasparyan.

According to the claim by Onik Gasparyan against the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding the dismissal of the Chief of the General Staff, the court recognized the absence of a legal relationship for the dismissal of the Chief of the General Staff following the Prime Minister’s proposal to the President, in the condition that no administrative act had been adopted by the President of the Republic.

The court has granted a petition for securing the claim, temporarily satisfying the claimant's request. That is, until the final court act resolving the matter enters into legal force, it recognizes the absence of a legal relationship for the dismissal of the Chief of the General Staff based on the Prime Minister's proposal to the President, in the absence of any adopted administrative act by the President.

This decision takes effect from the moment it is made. This was reported by Judge Mher Petrosyan.
