Bodies of Soldiers Found 2.5 Months Later Kept in Muddy Bags in Masis Morgue
The bodies of soldiers who were transferred from the military unit in Echmiadzin to Zangelan and considered missing have been retrieved by their relatives and handed over to the morgue. However, 2.5 months later, the bodies remain in muddy, dirt-filled bags, just as they were delivered.
Anahit Adoyan, the mother of missing soldier Vardan Adoyan, reported that parents have visited the morgues in Artashat, Echmiadzin, and Masis. The scene in the latter is described as a "chaos." According to her, some remains have been in the bags for so long that they have started to mold. This information comes from "Factinfo."
Anahit Adoyan stated that the story of the boys from the Echmiadzin military unit has become a significant thorn in the side of the authorities. She possesses evidence and vows to fight for the 40 missing soldiers and will not allow the DNA samples to be tampered with. So far, 10 remains have been identified. Some parents are demanding a second examination, while Anahit Adoyan has requested that 15 samples be taken from the remains at the morgues.
It was known back in January that during a search operation near a school in Zangelan, requested by the relatives, charred bodies were discovered, which were buried by Azerbaijanis at the same location.
