VIDEO: Mudflows Flood Several Settlements in Aragatsotn Province

On March 24, from 11:00 AM to 11:43 AM, the Aragatsotn regional crisis management center received reports that mudflows had blocked access to several houses on Z. Daryan Street in Aparan city, Shahumyan Street 22, as well as in the villages of Rya Taza and Kuchak, causing rainwater to fill the homes.

Emergency Situations Ministry's regional rescue department's operational group, along with three firefighting rescue teams, were dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that rainwater had filled one of the animal barns on Shahumyan Street 22, a basement and living room of a nearby house, a house on Z. Daryan Street, a yard of a house in the village of Rya Taza, and a basement of a house on 7th Street in Kuchak.

The rescuers cleared the mudflows, stopped the flow of rainwater, altered its course, and prevented the flooding of the homes.
