Former Prime Minister's Participation Could Disrupt Many Plans: 'Haykakan Jamanak'
According to studies of individual political ratings, former Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has the highest rating in the anti-government camp, and there were hopes in the opposition that he would participate in the elections. According to our information, Robert Kocharian had also reserved an honorable place for him on his list. However, attempts to persuade Karapetyan to participate in the elections have so far been unsuccessful, as he is not a combative type. Ultimately, his participation depends on what the Russian authorities decide.
In the meantime, Karapetyan has been in Armenia more frequently, so there should be no issues related to his absence from the country, which perhaps inspired hope among the opposition that he would eventually agree to take part in the elections. The former prime minister's participation could disrupt many plans.
