Onik Gasparyan Appeals to Chief Prosecutor Arthur Davtyan

It has recently been revealed to ArmLur.am that the former Chief of General Staff, Onik Gasparyan, has submitted an appeal to Chief Prosecutor Arthur Davtyan.

Earlier reports suggested that Onik Gasparyan was going to file a report of a crime with the Prosecutor's Office.

The text of Onik Gasparyan's petition submitted to the Chief Prosecutor has come to light:

"On March 17, 2021, the administrative court granted the request for securing the claim of the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Onik Gasparyan, and decided:

  1. According to the claim, the request to recognize the absence of a legal relationship resulting from the dismissal of General Staff Chief Onik Gasparyan on the basis of the Prime Minister's proposal to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, was granted, due to the failure of the President to adopt an administrative act on this matter.
  2. To take interim measures of security for the claim, meaning that until the final judicial act resolving the case comes into legal force, to recognize the absence of a legal relationship on the dismissal of General Staff Chief Onik Gasparyan on the basis of the Prime Minister's proposal to the President due to the failure to adopt an administrative act by the President.
  3. This decision comes into legal force from the moment of its adoption."
