Azerbaijan Violates Ceasefire Agreement by Not Releasing All Armenian Prisoners of War, Says Brad Sherman

U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman, addressing the issue of Armenian prisoners of war, stated on his Facebook page that he discussed the topic of Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s Assistant for European and Eurasian Affairs, Philip Reeker.

“Azerbaijan is violating the ceasefire agreement by not releasing all Armenian prisoners of war. I am pleased to learn that the U.S. State Department has engaged in meaningful negotiations with Baku, urging them to release the captives. Thanks to the efforts of U.S. authorities, Baku has allowed the operations of the ICRC,” wrote the American congressman on his Facebook page.

Brad Sherman noted that he will continue to work with the U.S. State Department on the issue of releasing Armenian prisoners of war.
