Aliyev Orders Removal of All Armenian Inscriptions from Monuments in Captured Areas of Artsakh
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has ordered the removal of all Armenian inscriptions from monuments located in the captured territories of the Republic of Artsakh. This announcement was made on Twitter by the Armenian ambassador to the Netherlands, Tigran Balayan.
“The dictator of Azerbaijan is personally giving orders to erase Armenian traces from the occupied territories of Artsakh. The military crimes of the Aliyev regime continue unabated,” Balayan wrote.
It is noteworthy that Aliyev visited the captured Hadrut region a day earlier with his wife. Images from his visit reveal that the churches no longer have crosses. It is no coincidence that the war criminal is prohibiting a UNESCO mission from visiting Artsakh and conducting a survey of historical monuments.
