VIDEO: Goga and His Friends Near Shushi - Despite Being Wounded, Goga Refused to Leave His Comrades Behind

MP Shake Isayan has shared a video and a post on his Facebook page.

Simonyan Goga was born in 2001 in the village of Myasniktan, Armavir Province. He began his service in Hadrut on July 24, 2019. After 40 days of fighting, he was killed on November 7 in Shushi.

In the video, Goga and his friends are seen near Shushi. Goga is wounded but has refused to leave his comrades alone; this war had become a personal battle for him, and for all those who had lost a friend, father, or brother on the battlefield.

The strength of spirit that compels these young men to joke and laugh amidst the explosions of shells is unimaginable. They embody human conscience, a concentration of the highest human virtues. A generation of light, whose sacrifices allow us to live on this land called Armenia today.

The village of Myasniktan in Armavir Province is a small community, but it has sacrificed 11 soldiers during the Second Karabakh War, with 2 still listed as missing. Among the 11 soldiers, 4 were classmates:

  • Simonyan Goga Samveli
  • Barsamyan Styopa Davti
  • Sahakyan John Andraniki
  • Gasparyan Karen Vrami

May you stay in the light, boys!
