European Parliament Condemns Turkey's Involvement of Syrian Mercenaries in Artsakh War

The resolution of the European Parliament regarding the Syrian conflict, adopted on March 11, 2021, confirms the involvement of Syrian mercenaries by Turkey during the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27, 2020. The resolution highlights this issue in two points.

The first point states: "According to the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, Turkey has transported Syrian mercenaries to Nagorno-Karabakh." The second point emphasizes that the European Parliament condemns such actions by Turkey. "The European Parliament strongly condemns Turkey's use of Syrian mercenaries in the conflicts in Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh, as it constitutes a violation of international law," the resolution states.
