Where is it Snowing in Armenia? Ministry of Emergencies

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads in Armenia.

The Vardenyants Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, as well as the Berd-Chambarak road. In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the 'Amberd' high-altitude weather station to the Amberd Fortress and to Kari Lake are also closed.

Snow is falling in the Lori region and in the villages of Ashotzk and Amasia in the Shirak region. There are spots of black ice on the Sisian-Zanger section. Fog has settled on the Sisian-Goris-Kapan road.

According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles. On the Russian side, there are about 520 trucks piled up. Drivers are advised to travel only with winter tires.
