The President Will Announce His Position on the Proposal to Dismiss Onik Gasparyan Within Three Days

Reports circulating in the media that Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has returned the proposal to dismiss Onik Gasparyan with objections do not reflect reality. This was stated by the President's Assistant Hasmik Petrosyan in an interview with Factinfo.

“The president will announce his position within three days,” noted Petrosyan.

It is noteworthy that according to established procedures, if the president does not express his position within the three-day timeframe, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's proposal will come into effect. However, if the proposal is returned with objections, then after receiving the president's objections, Pashinyan has five days to accept the objections or resend the proposal. In that case, the president will refer the matter to the Constitutional Court on the issue of the constitutionality of the decision within three days.
