Collision between Škoda and Mercedes, the latter crashes into a metal barrier, injuries reported

Today, March 6, a major car accident occurred in the Syunik province. At around 12:40 PM, a Škoda and a Mercedes collided head-on on the 195 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway. The collision caused the Mercedes to veer off the road and crash into a metal barrier.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, two individuals were taken to the Sisian hospital with bodily injuries. Citizens were the first to assist the injured, and the doctors at Sisian hospital acted swiftly, providing first aid on the scene before transporting the victims to the hospital.

Emergency responders from the Sisian fire-rescue team, with one combat unit, promptly arrived at the site. Rescuers proceeded to stabilize the vehicles and secure the area.
