Does Nikol Pashinyan Trust the NSS? - 'Hraparak'
The National Security Service (NSS) has put forward a draft that proposes to grant the State Protection Service the status of an executive body subordinate to the Prime Minister, thereby removing it from the NSS framework. This is the service responsible for ensuring the safety of the Prime Minister and his family.
The main objectives and tasks of the protection service are to "anticipate and identify threats to state protection facilities, and implement comprehensive measures to prevent threats," among others.
There is an impression that Nikol Pashinyan does not trust the NSS and has decided to bring his own protection under his direct authority.
