NSS Arrests Those Who Have Conducted Information Warfare Against Azerbaijan for Years: Elibegova

No one provided a coherent explanation of how my personal phone or work computer is related to catching some fake accounts, and it was even more unclear why we were taken in. This was stated by Azerbaijani expert Angela Elibegova in a conversation with reporters.

She mentioned that they were not held for long at the NSS, but she was unable to exercise her right to a phone call. "Moreover, after my release, it turned out that a lawyer had been trying for about an hour to enter the NSS to provide them legal assistance. I think this process is not over yet; we need to understand what happened on a legal level. In any case, at this moment, for incomprehensible reasons, I am left without a phone, without a work computer, and without the ability to carry out my work," she said.

Elibegova noted that those detained and arrested had been actively engaged in the struggle against information warfare directed at Azerbaijan. "By paralyzing all that work at this point, the public is already beginning to draw conclusions as to why this is being done. It is absurd that against the backdrop of national security threats, the whole system is focusing on fake accounts," she added.
