Residential Complex to Be Built in Shurnukh, Decision Made at Government Meeting
A residential complex will be constructed in the Shurnukh settlement of the Goris community in the Syunik region. For this purpose, 470 million 200 thousand drams will be allocated from the government reserve fund planned in the 2021 state budget to the Urban Development Committee in 2021. The decision was made at the government's meeting on February 18.
In order to coordinate work on identifying and responding to existing and potential issues in the Syunik region as a result of the military actions, an interdepartmental working group has been established. Following a meeting of the interdepartmental working group led by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan on January 29, 2021, in Kapan, it was decided to provide support to residents who lost their real estate in the villages of Shurnukh and Vorotan.
Financial assistance has been planned for these residents, and the implementation of this measure has already been approved at the government meeting on February 4. Additionally, a new residential complex will be built in the village of Shurnukh for families deprived of their residential properties (with their land plots and auxiliary buildings) due to border demarcation.
According to the head of the Urban Development Committee, construction work on 13 residential houses will begin soon. The construction and settlement process is expected to be completed by the end of the year. According to preliminary estimates, approximately 700 million drams will be required for the implementation of the project. 120 million drams will be allocated for road construction, while 325 million drams will be dedicated to the construction of residential houses.
