“Nikol Crouched in the Corner of the Shelter Like a Muscle and Only Repeated: Save Me, Help Me.” Aram Gabrielyanov
Journalist and publisher Aram Gabrielyanov has made a new post on his Telegram channel, revealing how Nikol Pashinyan hid in fear during the war while in Syunik.
Gabrielyanov wrote, “My source from Pashinyan's personal security service has shared a story that the Prime Minister of Armenia was so fearful of revealing. However, today I will tell that story:
In October 2020, Pashinyan decided to present himself as the Supreme Commander. He organized a large meeting at one of the state institutions in Syunik. He began to give a pompous speech and teach how to organize the defense of Syunik. Everything was proceeding as usual: a lot of meaningless emotions and boasting. But at that moment, suddenly, the sound of a drone was heard in the sky. And oh, horror. Like Mikheil Saakashvili before him, Nikol was overtaken by wild fear and terror.
Pashinyan shouted, ‘Where is the basement?’ He dashed into the bomb shelter, pushing aside women and men along the way. Security personnel could hardly catch up.
Nikol crouched in the corner of the shelter like a muscle, repeatedly shouting: ‘Save me, help me!’ The bodyguards looked at him with disgust and shame. Five minutes later, the sound of the drone was cut off, yet Nikol was yelling at the security personnel, demanding, ‘Call for air support, have them check the sky.’ It was only an hour and a half later that the deathly afraid Nikol, who was drenched in fear, was taken out of the basement, put into a car, covered with bulletproof vests, and taken to Yerevan.
