VIDEO: Stabbing over Not Yielding on the Road, Police Report

On February 2, at 10:25 PM, the "Erebuni" Medical Center reported to the Erebuni Division of the Police that a 25-year-old resident of Sari Tagh had sought medical assistance for a "stab wound to the chest." He stated that the injury was the result of a fall on Glinka Street. It became increasingly clear that the injury was not a result of a fall.

A criminal case was initiated as the victim had sustained serious harm. Erebuni division criminal investigators promptly determined that the incident occurred on Kristapori Street, in front of the "Petak" shopping center, where a dispute between drivers over yielding on the road had culminated in a stabbing.

Despite the victim continuing to assert his unrealistic version of events, identifying the assailant became more complex. Erebuni criminal investigators, collaborating with their colleagues from the Yerevan City Police Department, consistently worked to uncover the truth and identified that the victim had been stabbed by a 29-year-old resident of Sari Tagh.

On February 15, the 29-year-old was apprehended at the intersection of Bagratuni and Chekhov streets, brought to the Erebuni Division of Police, arrested, and subsequently provided a confession.

Measures are being taken to locate the knife used in the crime. The investigation is ongoing.

Note: The suspect in this alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law, as established by the criminal procedure code of the Republic of Armenia.
