We had such a desire with the former presidents: This was stated by Serzh Sargsyan while discussing his meeting with Nikol Pashinyan, at the same time noting that he did not have the desire to meet face-to-face with Pashinyan.

"As for the talks that the capitulator is my project, that is simply absurd; I would not wish such a project even on my enemy, unless I had to scribble such nonsense for myself," he said.

"The capitulator is not my project," he stated.

Serzh Sargsyan noted that Pashinyan is the project of the forces with which he could never have anything in common. "I have only had disagreements with them, in that my ideas regarding the development of Armenia and Artsakh significantly differed from the perspectives of those forces.

The capitulator was elected by our people, our deceived people. All those who spread that thesis, let them not blame me for that sin. I was confronted with a choice before a rally. Either I had to use force, while there were women and children in the streets. It was clear there would be casualties, which would make Armenia vulnerable. Or I had to make a decision to leave without incident, giving the country the opportunity to resolve that issue over time."
