Head of Armenian-Russian University Continues Baseless Accusations Against the Ministry of Education in Facebook Post
The Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports has issued a statement responding to allegations made by the rector of the Armenian-Russian University, A. Darbinyan, in a Facebook post. The ministry emphasized that the post contained continued baseless accusations directed at them.
The statement notes: "In the February 10 Facebook post by the rector of the Armenian-Russian University, A. Darbinyan, baseless accusations against the Ministry have continued. Regarding the claims made about the representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, we inform that the Ministry has also requested the charter of the Armenian-Russian University, among other universities, which, by the way, is absent from the university's website."
A. Darbinyan, who has been at the helm of the university for nearly two decades, accused the Ministry of being interested in the 'procedures for the election and dismissal of the rector' due to a current review in the National Assembly concerning the draft law on 'Higher Education and Science', aiming to integrate the regulatory frameworks of various universities based on different legal contractual forms.
