Who Will Receive 68,000 Dram Support From March? The Government Will Make a New Decision

The citizens of Artsakh will be provided with financial assistance for a duration of 4 months. The government is preparing to adopt a written procedure for the provision of this support.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mesrop Arakelyan, announced that a number of measures have been implemented to support the citizens of Artsakh. “Already, more than 15 billion drams of assistance have been allocated to over 100,000 citizens. It is proposed to provide an additional 68,000 drams of financial support per individual for another 4 months from March, excluding able-bodied males aged 18-63,” he said, also presenting the rationale for the limitations. “This is due to the fact that besides direct financial measures, we are implementing several job promotion initiatives with our partners in Artsakh. Specifically, individuals who are temporarily in Armenia are participating in short-term employment programs, while in Artsakh, a full income tax rebate is planned for various companies for a period of 6 months starting from January 2021,” he noted.
