No Day Passes Without an ‘My Step’ MP Making a Foolish Statement, Gegham Manukyan

A year ago, around this time, the authorities were preoccupied with changes to the Constitutional Court, leaving all major issues of the country behind, and now they are engaged in the same thing. That is why this protest is taking place. This was stated by Gegham Manukyan, the head of the news division of Yerkir Media, during an interview with journalists in front of the National Assembly.

“Moreover, any citizen standing here understands that the overwhelming majority of the MPs gathered in this building, who have a sign that says ‘My Step,’ mock our people, our country, and the political thought of the Armenian nation every single day. There is no day without a ‘My Step’ MP making a foolish statement, making a disgraceful announcement, or putting our security at risk again. Just yesterday it was Anush Beghloyan’s issue; at night, another MP made a foolish remark, attempting yet again to justify Prime Minister Pashinyan’s treasonous statements about Shushi with even more foolishness, trying to affirm that yes, Nikol Pashinyan is right. This happens every day,” Manukyan announced.

He noted that they learned about Anush Beghloyan’s statement yesterday, but how many similar conferences may have taken place whose content we are not familiar with? He did not rule out that many such statements have been made over the years; they simply have not been publicly voiced. “This is their ideology, and the Armenian people should know that in December 2018, a 88-member parliamentary group was brought to the parliament that believes it doesn’t matter whose land Artsakh is, let’s forget about the war, and how can we live in reconciliation and harmony with Azerbaijan in Artsakh,” he emphasized.
