Yulia Navalnaya Released with Obligations to Appear in Court
Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny's wife, Yulia, who was detained earlier today during an unauthorized protest in Moscow, has been released from police custody.
According to TASS news agency, citing Yulia Navalnaya's lawyer Svetlana Davidova, she was released with the obligation to appear in court. A protocol has been drawn up against her under the article of violating the 'rules for holding or organizing public gatherings, rallies, or marches.' The court session will take place tomorrow at 10:00 AM local time.
It is noteworthy that mass protests have taken place today in Moscow and several other cities in Russia in support of the imprisoned Navalny, who was detained on January 17 upon arrival from Berlin at Sheremetyevo Airport.
