We Focused on ‘Bayraktar’, We Didn’t Leave Facebook, We Were Looking to See What We Could Bring: Kocharyan

During the war, our nation focused on 'Bayraktar', everyone talked about the open air, and we, as MPs, didn’t leave Facebook from morning to night, looking at what opportunities existed, what could be brought, but this should have been thought about for years by bringing priority science to the army.

This was stated by Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the Permanent Commission on Defense and Security Issues, during parliamentary hearings.

“Modern wars cannot happen without the involvement of science in the security system. Today, criminal cases have been initiated against those who, due to their indifference and high level of corruption, weakened our security capabilities,” Kocharyan said, adding that science must always be involved with our army and our security system.

“It is important to ask whether we will have a program after these hearings on how we work with the army. The relevant divisions of the Ministry of Defense should prioritize solutions to bring intellect into the army. I believe that at the end of this meeting, we will make some statement, where we should review all the capabilities of our military-industrial system, not just look at the fact that with our weak electronic warfare capabilities we managed to bring down 2 'Bayraktar' drones,” he noted.
