Video: Woman Hits Man on Head with Iron Rod, Victim Dies

On the night of January 24, around 2:20 AM, the police's metro protection department received a report that a man was found lying in the underground passage of the "Barekamutyun" metro station with blood on his head. The unconscious man was transported to the "Armenia" Medical Center.

Through operational-investigative measures, the metro protection department officers obtained factual data indicating that a dispute over domestic issues had arisen between the man and a 56-year-old woman, during which the woman struck the man on the head with an iron rod.

The suspect was located and brought into the department, where she confessed to the act. Further measures led to the discovery of the iron rod with blood-like traces, which has been sent for examination.

On January 25, the medical facility reported that the man had died. A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident. The detained woman has been arrested. Circumstances are under investigation.
