Video: Groom Steals Television in Vardenis and Gifts it to Mother-in-Law
The Vardenis police department received reports that a 31-year-old resident of the village of Jaghatsadzor had committed theft from a fellow villager's home.
Criminal investigators confirmed the identity of the house in question and spoke with the victim. It turned out that on the evening of January 23, taking advantage of the homeowner's absence, an improvised tool had been used to pry open the door of the house, stealing a television and alcoholic beverages. According to the homeowner, the estimated damage amounted to approximately 400,000 drams.
On January 25, after gathering factual data related to the burglary, the suspect was taken into custody by the Vardenis police. The 31-year-old man provided a confession.
It was revealed that he had transported the alcoholic beverages to the house of another resident of the same village, while the television was gifted to his mother-in-law. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the residential burglary. The stolen items have been recovered. An investigation is underway.
