Senor Hasratyan on Robert Kocharyan's Unexpected Solutions in War

Former spokesperson for the Artsakh Defense Army, Senor Hasratyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “During the most difficult periods of the first Artsakh war, when Robert Kocharyan took on the leadership of the newly established State Defense Committee, he brought our country, which was almost on the verge of destruction, to a victorious outcome with quite unexpected solutions. Throughout almost two years of warfare, he not only refrained from making unnecessary statements and giving interviews to mass media, but he even preferred to keep his official meetings at various levels as low-profile as possible. The people, not seeing their leader on television screens or in the pages of newspapers, witnessed day by day the victories being achieved and the progress of the state being established...

The information strategy chosen was diametrically opposed during the war that began in September 2020 and lasted for 44 days. Almost daily, the public was able to see and hear interviews and statements from the top leadership of the two Armenian states promising victories, and simultaneously, they were disheartened by news of losses from the front lines.
