Our Red Line is the Territorial Integrity of Armenia: Zarif

The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif emphasized that Iran considers Armenia an important neighbor. He believes that the borders between Armenia and Iran have always been borders of friendship and cooperation, expressing confidence that this will continue. This statement was made by the Iranian Foreign Minister during a meeting in Yerevan with Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan, according to Armenpress.

"Iran places great importance on the territorial integrity of all countries and respects and ensures that the religious and other rights of all peoples are always protected. Our red line is the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, which we have clearly expressed," said the Iranian Foreign Minister.

He also expressed condolences regarding the human losses during the second Nagorno-Karabakh war, emphasizing that efforts should be made to address humanitarian issues. "We are the country that has witnessed war and understands the pains and sufferings that a people endure during wartime. Iran is ready to provide any humanitarian assistance to resolve these issues," Zarif stated.

The Iranian Foreign Minister added that they are willing to further develop relations with Armenia in the political, cultural, economic, and security fields. "We have common concerns, including the presence of terrorists," he noted.
