Scientific Breakthrough: Construction of Our Brain Center Has Started - Armen Muradyan

The rector of Yerevan State Medical University, Armen Muradyan, made the following post on his Facebook page:

“Scientific breakthrough news: We have started the construction of our ‘Brain Center’. Construction work on the ‘Fundamental Research Center for Brain Studies’ has begun at YSMU. The center is being built within the framework of the ‘Education Improvement’ program of the Republic of Armenia, with the support of the World Bank and YSMU.

The Center for Brain Studies will be established in combination with the grants from the Horizon 2020 Cobrain program and the project on ‘Deciphering Neurobiological Processes in Norm and Pathology from Embryo to Aging Brain’. This will create a Center of Excellence for Brain Research, which will present Armenia to the world.

It will become a new scientific and educational center in biomedical sciences, where young researchers and scientists will have the opportunity to engage in science and acquire research skills. Participants in the project assure that the center will be built on solid foundations.”
