Armenian Youth Meet with Erdoğan's Chief of Staff in Turkey
On January 22, young members of the Armenian, Greek, Assyrian, and Jewish communities in Turkey met with Hasan Doğan, one of the heads of the Turkish presidency's office, in Ankara. This was reported by Ermenihaber.
Fourteen youth participants from the ‘Menti-Mentor’ program, as well as the program coordinators Meri Taksid Deveciyan and Aras Yolosever, attended the meeting on behalf of the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople. Representatives of Turkey's minority communities briefly discussed their communities and emphasized the need for the creation of new programs.
Janin Azizov, a young member of the Armenian community, noted that such meetings would be more effective if they included a wider range of participants. On this occasion, Hasan Doğan, the chief of staff for the Turkish president, emphasized the importance of communication and highlighted youth's significance for Turkey's advancement. Doğan also mentioned that such meetings provide an opportunity for young people from different communities to engage with each other.
