30 Tons of Humanitarian Aid Arrives in Yerevan from Germany on Special Flight
On January 25, approximately 30 tons of humanitarian aid arrived in Yerevan on a special flight organized by the Federal Ministry of Defense of Germany. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
"The aid was organized in close collaboration with the Embassy of Armenia in Germany, the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Germany, and the 'Silva Kaputikyan' association of Armenian women in Germany," the ministry stated.
The humanitarian assistance mainly includes medicines, medical equipment, as well as various items necessary for the social sector. The aircraft also transported two minibuses equipped with appropriate mobility aids for the rehabilitation center in Stepanakert.
It is noteworthy that in early November, through joint efforts of the Embassy of Armenia in Germany, the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Germany, and the German government, about one ton of humanitarian aid, primarily medicines and medical supplies, was sent to Armenia.
The ministry reminded that for support programs, the federal government has already allocated 2 million euros to the International Committee of the Red Cross, while the German Red Cross has provided 200,000 euros to the Armenian Red Cross, in addition to 300,000 euros in support allocated through the GIZ office in Yerevan.
